Hello there,
As promised, here is my latest post. As you can see the topic is hot hot hot.
" Is it a good idea to invest in your business, when your pockets are close to empty or you do not have a capital aside?"
In a nutshell this is what I gathered about investing in your business.
-It may help you create a strategy.
-It may help you be confident about what to sell and how to sell it.
Why am I saying this? Because as you may know it has been close to a year since I hosted my first in person workshop and the result was, well not really what I had expected, on the day, zero participants showed up. So the next thing I thought about is how to attract customers and where to find them?
Months later, I now offer online workshops and I promote them using social media, and before finding how to attract my clients I read all I could find online, watched videos and joined Facebook groups too. Thanks to this I found two business coaches and one had a membership I paid for which allowed me to create my social media content strategy and messaging.
For this first business coach, I spent less than 50 USD/month and I paid it for two months, which I found a fair price, considering I had some income coming in every month. Thanks to her I received free social media templates, content calendars I can use as I want and I had the occasion to work on my messaging and create my content with the coach on calls.
The other one was much more expensive. I found this coach as I was hanging out in a group, if I remember well she sent to me her Facebook group link and after this I would see her posts regularly about how to sell to clients and how to attract your ideal customers, as my online free offers were a desert and I had no one knocking at my door asking for them, I said maybe I need to do something to attract my clients.
By then my content strategy was on the road, and I was posting regularly, however I was wondering how could I attract clients for my free and paying online vision board workshops?
Eventually, I hopped on her offer to join a free 15 min call and thanks to it, I bought from her a document teaching how to grow a business and chatted with her about my offers. At the end of the call I had agreed to spend 37 USD for her document!! And agreed to chat with her again about crafting an offer that will sell like hot cakes! Two months later, I signed up for her 6 weeks programme spending 3 times ~350 USD!!! In total 1000 USD!
The result is today, I have an incredible offer that is a high ticket programme for my clients and I am so proud of myself because I did not think I could create such an outstanding offer.
The second coach was really the answer to my question how can I be profitable!
Until I spoke with this coach I had planned to offer three digital products and online vision board workshops :
The free vision board workshop, called the discovery workshop which is a 15 min zoom call.
The 30-60 min vision board workshop: for clients who are ready to visualise their goals and dreams.
The Love attraction vision board workshop: for those who want to attract love in their life.
All the paying workshops were under 100 USD.
However thanks to her, now I have a 4 weeks and a 12 weeks programme!!!!!!!!!
In addition, I offer a 15min Sweet Secret free call for those who have a dream they always dismiss because they feel they have piles of bills to pay every month, or items in their homes to replace or repair and they feel it is not appropriate to spend on things that are not necessary every day. These discussions are the occasion to learn how visualising your dreams can be beneficial to your life, and also it is a way to take a chance and step towards making your dream a reality.
However, if I have to get really honest about these two experiences, the first lesson I learned is that, yes, it was a good investment because now I have a content that attracts more views to my social media profiles and I am clearer in my messaging.
The second one is that for the expensive coach I sweated quite a lot before paying the 3x ~350 USD. At first I did not really know where I would get the money, and fortunately, I found an advertisement offering a credit card, so I registered and this is how I payed the first installment, the second one I used my monthly income, and the third one, it is someone I love dearly who gave it to me.
My third lesson is that at the end of the coaching session, although I was really proud of myself, I still had that credit card amount to pay, as I used my income to pay the second amount instead of paying the card back. So today, I have another credit card to pay, as I already had one which had reached its limit...
The fourth lesson is both of these coaches were really kind with me during the free calls I had with them and very helpful and sharing really valuable information, however after joining their membership or coaching programme, they were not as kind. They delivered all the information I needed to know, they asked questions and addressed my doubts and queries too, however they did not turn out to be my best friends as I thought they would do. So that was a little disappointment.
And finally the fifth lesson is:
I haven't booked any new clients for my free or paying workshops!!
So no money coming in yet, and quite a bit has gone out.
As you can see, I cannot yet say that my investments have paid out, even if I am proud of myself, and I now have online vision board offers and digital products that bring a real value to my customers.
Nevertheless, I am looking forward to promote them and getting sales.
So is it worth it to invest in your business ? I would say, If it is to create a content strategy and an offer you feel proud of and you know your clients will really enjoy, why not.
Hope you enjoyed this post, and I am looking forward to share with you new stories soon.
In case you would like to learn more about the offers, please send a message using the contact form, or directly on Instagram @visionboard365_365 by sending a DM with your questions.
