Hello there,

Some time back, as I was looking for ways to promote my business and services, I found Pinterest.

The thing at the time was that I was promoting my workshops using Instagram and free local ads, however I quickly noticed it was not the best option for me, so I searched internet and videos on Youtube.com too, thanks to this I found many videos about creating courses, selling digital products and eventually after updating my search queries to what I needed and scrolling, I found a wonderful lady who was explaining how to use Pinterest.

As I already new about it and I already had an account for some years, I new a bit about it, however nothing about SEO and Pinterest's algorithm.

Thanks to that great lady's video, I discovered you can earn money by selling your items, digital products, courses, services on Pinterest and without spending any money!

The most difficult part of it is creating images for your pins that attract your clients, and using key words to improve your SEO too.

Moreover, you have two options which are to either use a personal profile or a business one, the first one is as good as the second, the only difference is you cannot run any ads from your personal account.

Although you can convert it to a business one and in this case it is then possible.

Creating a Pinterest business account is relatively easy, however it becomes complicated when you start creating pins and boards and you do not know how to use the SEO's and your messaging is not clear because you can be banned from pinning.

This happened to me, when I created my first boards and pins. If I remember well, my pins where not very pretty and my text had many repetitions, because I thought it would attract my clients, whereas it only turned out to be flagged as SPAMMY.

I also found out after watching a few tutorials that a style of a pin is important because it will attract your clients and there is also a Pinterest pin trend, therefore those that do not follow it end up having "ugly pins".

However, do not fear! Because the trend changes and you will quickly learn that you can create a variety of pins after all.

Here are a few of mine.

It appears to me that the best way to learn about using Pinterest for business is by using free resources or signing up for Pinterest courses, which will help you to set up your account and learn what really works.

In addition to Youtube I also followed a Pinterest webinar I found in a Facebook group, and I noticed that there is always a paying course you can join too.

So far with free online videos and webinars, I have learned that pinning everyday gets your pins seen and since September 2024, I have had 2k views thanks to Pinterest, but I must say I do not have that many engagements only 185 and only 53 outbound clicks.

I recently posted pins with links to purchase my digital products too, the first one was published on the 18th October 2024 and is quite successful concerning the views, approx 180 in ten days, however no purchases yet. The second one was created one day after and has 102 impressions (views) 7 clicks and two extra outbound clicks, So I am basically waiting for engagements and sales now!!!!!!

Evidently using Pinterest to be visible is great, it can be used to drive clients to your website or blogs, however selling on it without paying ads may take a bit of time.

By the way did I already tell you about the algorithm ?

Because Pinterest's algorithm is particular not only for its style of pins but also the time it takes for your pins to appear at the top of the feed. You should expect to see them at the top as of 12 weeks after pinning.

For this reason, if your items are related to a specific holiday of the year, or season, it is good to post them on Pinterest 12 weeks before the period.

What I have gathered of all this is that Pinterest, is great to be seen, however selling your items may not be a lighting overnight success.

Please tell me in comments if you have succeeded to sell items within a ten days frame because I would love to learn how you did it.

Otherwise for those who do not know if Pinterest is the way for them, why not give it a try? I found watching online videos, testing and learning was quite fun.

By the way, should you be interested to learn how to make a vision board, or improve the ones you have already created, and get a few interesting theories about goal setting, I have a vision board guide that you can buy!!!!!

And for those who want to upgrade their Instagram posts with cool hooks and call to actions (CTA), I also have an e-book and it is a MRR meaning Master Resell Rights, so after buying it you can sell it for the same price yourself. It is really great for those who do not want to show themselves in videos or basically do not want to be seen in their promo.

Looking forward to share more with you soon.

XOXO C. (yes, it is cutie now😁 )
